Sea anemones are named after the anemone, a flowering plant, because of their often colourful appearance.
Some species of sea anemone live in symbiotic relationships with other animals to their mutual benefit. In this relationship, both parties depend on each other for nutritional reasons and protection from predators.
We too, are living in symbiotic relationships on a daily basis. Relationships in which we depend on each other for our daily routine, but there is a much greater connection at play.
Our home is a living, breathing and often thinking organism. Our planet provides all our nutrients, protection and life in general. As we all benefit from this relationship, we need to be aware that this is a relationship worth protecting, and live a more symbiotic life.
